There is a crisis in Santa Clara County that our church is trying to help fix.  There are way more foster kids than there are screened, available foster parents.  This problem also impacts most of the other problems in our state:

• 70% of CA inmates have been in the foster care system
• 60% of recovered child trafficking victims were foster children
• less than 3% of foster youth will earn a college degree

Foster the Bay is a coalition of Bay Area churches committed to providing a loving home for every child in the foster system.  They do this by helping churches raise up at least one foster family with a team of at least four support friends.

On June 8 in our auditorium, we will host Foster the Bay as they hold an Interest Meeting for those in our area who just have an interest in learning more.  Please register here, fill in the form and select "6/8/16".  Childcare will be provided.
